Collaborvate is Malek’s evaluation process which looks at all facets of an organization’s current collaboration infrastructure and processes. Google Apps Migration

The move to Google Apps can be broken into three distinct phases:

Messaging (email & Instant), Calendar, & Mobility (Smartphone & Tablet) Migration - this moves the foundational components of your existing collaboration environment to Google Apps. It allows you the flexibilty to redeploy the majority existing on-premise Collaboration systems and resources to other value-added IT initatives or to sunset them completely. Messaging, Calendar and Mobility Migration

Malek takes a consistent approach to to moving our customers to Google Apps. Google Apps Adoption, Day 1 & Beyond - This period is allows the users within the organization to open the door to the power that Google Apps brings to Collaboration. Google Docs, Sites, Groups, Google Plus, Google Apps Marketplace can all be made available after the enterprise has adopted Google Apps for their everyday messaging and Calendaring needs. Google Apps Adoption, Day 1 & Beyond

Google Apps has been adopted for messaging and Calendaring & Scheduling throughout most of the enterprise it is now time to find out what “Go Google” really means! Users will begin to discover Google Docs, Sites, Groups, etc. on their own. We recommend not to try to control this stringently, but foster it in a more “controlled atmosphere”.

During Phase 1, identify & train a resource(s) on the various components in Google Apps. Have that resource share his/her knowledge throughout the enterprise. Channel inquiries to the help desk to those persons to assist users on functionality, but most importantly to partner with them to solve their need. This will allow IT to understand how the Google Apps is being used beyond messaging. Use that and make it known throughout the organization! Legacy Collaboration Application Migration to the Cloud

The identification of the numbers of the legacy collaboration applications, usage, business criticality and technical complexity is completed in Malek’s Collaborvate. Once that portfolio of legacy applications which will need to be moved has been identified with Malek’s Collaborvate. It is time to begin the process of moving them to the cloud. The planning of this usually begins halfway through phase 2 above. based on the numbers of inter, intra and enterprise wide collaborative applications and their usage and complexity. Malek’s fixed price approach to this phase takes the worries out of planning, developing, deploying and most importantly paying for the application migration. In many cases, the cost savings realized from moving to Google Apps for the foundational pieces (Messaging, Calendaring/Scheduling) pays for this phase!
